v6 - asking for user/pass which I don't have (2nd attempt)

Post by mptpro »

I already posted this question here: https://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=6339.0

But for some reason the thread was locked - not sure why.
Anyway, the one and only solution posted in the other thread didn't help. In fact, I do not have a "user/name" password field in my sabnzdb.ini (other than for my newsserver).
So, I stoppped sabsnzdb, deleted my .ini file, restarted sab, re-entered settings from scratch. Then, when I restarted, I get the request for user/pass word!  This is really driving me crazy.
Please help.

Possibly SABnzbd is using another sabnzbd.ini file than you think.
Let Windows search the whole disk for this file.

Thanks. did that already. There is only one sab.ini

I even had the folder open, watching it. I deleteed the old. Restarted Sab, and saw it create a new one.

Stop SABnzbd.
Remove the password
Start SAbnzbd.
If you don't stop SABnzbd first, it won't matter what you do.
You might have to kill it with the task manager first.
