It says everything is a DUPLICATE (when it is not).

Hi,

Congrats on the new version, there's obvious improvement to many old issues.

My original queue disappeared. I knew it was a risk mentioned in the sticky, but wanted to try anyway. Gone, but its unimportant: SB can create a new queue. The weird thing is that now all new stuff sent by Sick Beard is paused as DUPLICATE.

I am pretty sure I don't have these new files (resulting media or NZB) anywhere in my storage, just ran multiple find routines. I'm sure it can't be duplicate of something I already have downloaded.

I am thinking it says it is DUPLICATE as somehow it is a comparison of the new queue to the one it ate and hide from me?

Please advise.

Regards,
Effenberg

Yes, this is a new feature, or rather a different implementation of the duplicate detection option.
Before duplicates were just ignored, now they're in the queue.
What we should (and will) have is a three-way duplicate option:
- No detection
- Ignore them
- Put them in the queue paused and flagged

As for your problem.
I do think that there are duplicates.
SABnzbd uses two ways:
For RSS: search through all feeds for identical titles.
Others: check whether a backed-up NZB file with the same name is in the NZB backup folder

I see, thanks for the tips.
I'm kindda lost here. #find / -name "xyz.nzb" gives me nothing like what it is saying. The files also are not in the Backup folder. And I do not have any RSS feed in use. I'm gonna think a little more here, I am obviously not seeing something.

You would need to look for name.nzb.gz in the backup.
Do you have the "Do not download the same file twice" option on?

I do, its on.

Its a 9TB RAID, searching takes a while. But I can tell you for sure there's no *nzb.gz in sabnzbd's own directory.

EDIT: Gave up and done a fresh install on a new VM, problem went away and everything is running smooth. Thanks.

Not happy.
Another upgrade error perhaps?
