0.6.0 beta 4 - "None" category in Sorting settings

Post by JohnC »

In 0.5.x, there was an option to have sorting options apply to any category you wanted, including the "None" category, which applied it to anything downloaded that wasn't assigned a category otherwise.

This option appears to be gone - you can only assign categories that are predefined, not a catchall/default.

Any reason this was removed, and could it be added back?

Thanks!

Just deselect all categories and all categories will trigger Seasson Sort.
(This applies only to Season Sort, for backwards compatibility.)

Hmm.

That's how it was configured when I upgraded, but it wasn't applying the sort/rename. I'd tried selecting all, but now I can't deselect all either. It reverts back to selecting one. I've tried in a few browsers - Safari and Firefox.
I'm using beta 4 on 10.6.5 Server.

Edit: Editing the sabnzbd.ini file will remove it, but it can't be done in the web UI. It's now sorting stuff as TV by default. Weird - but thanks!

The "None" trick was only added to support people upgrading from an older release,
that did not have selectable categories for Season Sort.
When you change it later, you just need to select all categories.

That will apply it to anything, including those without a defined category? That wasn't working, either. Manually removing all categories from the sabnzbd.ini file has gotten it working for now.

Got ya!
It doesn't cover the "Default" category.
I will add that one to pick list.

Great, thanks!

Another way around it would be to allow the selection of a default category that everything is shoved into. Getting more advanced, perhaps category auto-detection in the future based on filename.
