Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.

6.0RC1 RSS reader doesn't honor bandwidth limiter and/or pause function
When playing online games I pause or throttle SABNZBD to keep my latency manageable, however it doesn't apper the RSS reader honors either of these functions. Is there a way (other than shutting SABNZBD down) to manage lag spikes from SABNZBD?

The bandwidth used by an RSS readout and subsequent RSS retrievals
is very low compared to actual downloading.
It looks like you have a low quality ISP or extreme latency requirements.
The only was to silence SABnzbd altogether is either stopping it
or put a pause_all event into the scheduler.
