Problem connecting sabnzbd (on unraid) through iphone

Post by erann »

Hi there ,
Ive forwarded my sabnzbd port 8082 in my dlink dir-632 router to the ip of the unraid which runs it.
In sabnzbd I've put 0.0.0.0 as listening host. i can reach it from inside the lan from any computer.

when I try using my external ip (www.whatismyip.com) and port 8082 , i get The connection has timed out.

what did I miss ?

Does your server run a software firewall?
Check that too.
E.g. I know that the Windows built-in firewall distinguishes between "lan" and "the internet".

Does your ISP allow incoming traffic on that port?

unraid does not run any firewall.
about ISP , I trully have no idea.
Are there default ports that allow incoming traffic and are usuable ? (like 80...)

Any port that's allowed by your ISP is usable.
BTW you can even tell your router to connect an incoming port 80 to the server's 8082.
