Hi all
I have a Synology DS209+II and I had no problem with the "Replace strange characters in filenames" fonction of the Sabnzbd helper when I had the DSM 3.0 version and Sabnzbd+ 0.55. The package Sabnzbd was stopped and the file renamed.
Now I both upgrade DSM (to 3.1) and Sabnzbd (0.62) and It don't work anymore ... so I don't know where the problem come from exactly ! The package is not stopped and no file renamed. If I stop the package manually, same result --> nothing.
Somebody can help to specify the problem ?
Oliver

I don't think I understand the question at all.TermiNas wrote: 1) of the Sabnzbd helper
2) The package Sabnzbd was stopped and the file renamed.
What is "the SABnzbd helper" ?
Which package was stopped and which file was renamed?
Re: Replace strange characters in filenames bug with last synology DSM ?
Sorry I'm french, so my english is not perfect.
The sabnzbd helper is a graphic user interface installed with the package of sabnzbd and can do somes things to help like:
- given the good right on the download directory
- Replace strange characters in filenames downloaded (like é, à --> very used in french)
- and others good stuff that I don't remember
When I use the "Replace strange characters in filenames" fonction of sabnzbd helper, the sabnzbd package is stopped and the downloaded files with strange characters in filenames are renamed.
I thought that the sabnzbd helper was included in the package of sabnzbd+. It's not the case ?
Bye bye

Re: Replace strange characters in filenames bug with last synology DSM ?
The helper is probably made by the person who created the package.
The SABnzbd doesn't do that.
We only publish the source package for any system other than Windows or OSX.
So, I'm sorry to say, we cannot help you with the "Helper" tool.
Have you tried the Synology forum?
