Error: Failed Making

Post by frodo »

Hi,

Have been using sabnzb with nzbmatrix for quite a while with no problems, until now -

Each time i download an nzb i get the error above.

I'm using 0.6.7 with windows 7. This happens only on 1 laptop. on another laptop and desktop - all is fine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi,
Sorry for not enough info.
I use nzbMatrix - click 'download nzb', sabnzb opens and instead of download starting i get '1 warning' top left of window. I click this and see, as an example,
this -

2011-08-05 20:34:05,661 ERROR: Failed making (D:\My Documents\Downloads\incomplete\John Carpenter's The Ward 2010 BluRay 1080p AVC DTS HD MA5 1 CHDBits)

Doesn't matter which nzb i choose, same thing. Nothing has changed with the lappy AFAIK and worked fine up until now.

Thanks,

Does the laptop even have a D: drive?
D:\My Documents is not a standard path.
It could be that SABnzbd has trouble getting info from your user profile.
Check your paths in Config->Folders

Yes, it does have a D: drive

i have 2 partitions on the drive (1 for windows & programs 'C' and the other for everything else) and this is the directory i've been using fine until now.

Checked paths and it seems to be set correctly

It does have problems reading the profile.
Or did you type in the paths yourself?
Windows 7 has a fake "My Documents" folder, which works only through the Windows Explorer or "Open File" dialogs in programs.
The should be using a path like d:\users\myname\documents.

No, didn't type it in myself, sab found the path itself.

Should I just manually type in the path?

Thanks again for your help.

edit - retyped path (which looked fine) and all is well now. ??? ....

Cheers,
