Recording on EyeTV kills SAB?

Post by troswim »

I'm running EyeTV and SAB on a Mac Mini as a HTPC. If SAB is running and I start to record something on EyeTV, it immediately shuts down SAB. This is repeatable, and only happens when I start recording (e.g., running EyeTV without recording does not cause the problem). I can also start SAB again after EyeTV has started to record with no problems. I'm pretty sure they're not running on the same port, and they're recording to different hard drives so I have no idea what's going on.

Any ideas?

ps - I have some reservations about daemonizing SAB, which I will do if necessary, but this shouldn't be happening regardless and I'd like to figure out why.

Thanks!

I don't know Mac OSX, but can you open a terminal / console, and start SABnzbd from so that all output appears in that screen?

After that, start EyeTV + recording, and see what the terminal screens says, and post it here.

nm.....I found the problem. Apparently I had added a 'OnRecordStart' script in EyeTV that was doing it. I don't ever remember doing that, but I just killed the script and fixed the problem. THanks for the help!
