url fetching failed

This happens alot. So i try it again, fails again. But then if i download the nzb and drag it in, it works.

nzbmatrix.com. its not nzbmatrixs fault though, cause if i click on open and associate with newsleecher, then it opens fine. Which is better, having a watched folder, or having sabnzbd association?

nzbmatrix.com's API often fails. This API is used when you let SABnzbd use it,
like when you use nzbmatrix RSS feeds.
Newsleecher and SABnzbd's watched folder both deal only with NZB files that you downloaded manually.
How do you get NZB files from nzbmatrix.com?

Well, if i use newsleecher, i click on download, and it is set to open that file type in newsleecher after it is done downloading to my downloads folder. If im using sab, i click on the sab link in nzbmatrix, and it moves to sab. Is a watched folder better than sab association?

When you use NZB association or the watched folder, you will never get a "URL fetch failed" error.
That error can only occur when you tell SABnzbd to get the NZB from nzbmatrix by itself.
Newsleecher doesn't have this problem because it cannot get files directly from nzbmatrix.
So again: how do you send NZBs to SABnzbd?

I click on the sab download link in nzbmatrix. It replaces the regular download button. It has the sab logo.

and either redownloading it from matrix or hitting try again does nothing

As SABnzbd cannot manipulate the nzbmatrix web pages, you must be using some browser add-on.
(nzbdStatus, SABconnect++).
Check with the author of that tool.

I also have a problem with URL fetching from sabnzbd to nzbmatrix since today. When I "Force Download" in sabnzbd RSS feeds I get this: Failed to retrieve RSS from http://nzbmatrix.com/rss-bookmarks.SNIP : text/html is not an XML media type

Holy fast answer. Didn't want to blame sabnzbd. It's the best software I'm using. :-) Just thought that nzbmatrix changed something. I googled for the nzbmatrix/sabnzbd problem and found this thread. So, sorry for the troubles...

I have disabled SABconnect++. I was under the impression that it would be best to have that as well as sabnzbd. Less is more i guess. I will try this and hopefully wont have many "URL fetching failed". I will report back with either asking for more advice or giving praises.

My fetching doesn't work anymore at all. I tried other URLs. I am not sure if the documentation in at nzbmatrix.com is accurate. But now I reverted all until the status of RSS on http://nzbmatrix.info/ is "Online" and not "Issues".

Ok so on nzbmatrix, the fetching problem has subsided. But now that ive removed SABconnect++, every nzb from nzbindex.nl is interrupted when downloading. So now i cant get any nzbs from this site.
