Hi everyone I keep getting a lot of Loading Sabnzbd article failed errors which look like the example below ](Not mine grabbed from another tread) http://forums.sabnzbd.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9146
2011-10-18 00:28:01,286 ERROR: Loading C:\usenet\Debian6\__ADMIN__\SABnzbd_article_znrxym failed
I installed SAB with windows installer on WHS 2011 and use the task scheduler to start SAB without having to log in.
My temporary download folder is on a drive of its own.
In the other thread there was a mention of incorrect access rights to the temp folder and he remade it and then there was nothing else written so I presume it was all OK. anone know where I'm going wrong?
Here is how I have it set up

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
Hard to tell.
We don't support WHS2011 as such.
We assume it behaves like any other Server 2008 variant.
It looks like something is removing article files, or prevent creation.
The latter is not very likely, since that would result in an error message too.
Virus scanner?
Does it happen spontaneously or after a crash or blunt termination of SABnzbd?

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
It happens all the time if I leave it on over night I will have 20+ errors like this.
I just have Microsoft security essentials as an antivirus
Do you think it would be advisable to install it as a service? Has anyone else got it working well on a WHS 2011 box?

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
I just updated the other thread as I'm still getting the same problems with a new install. Didnt realise someone else was having the same issues (thought it was just me)
Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
No virus scanner on my new install. Sab is literally the only thing I installed. Even built a new partition for the incomplete files. Don't suppose you're use VMware m0t0ko?
Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
VMWare should not be an issue, although I only use it to test SABnzbd for Linux.
I repeat the question I asked reticent: do you have a specific scenario?
Running SABnzbd as a service will make it recover better from crashes.
I doubt whether that will solve this issue.

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
No no VM for me
As far as I can tell there is no specific scenario it just happens randomly. Unfortunately I cannot test it to find out as I have run out of HDD space and I'm awaiting a pooling service to free up some more.
My SAB temp folder is on a drive of its own used just for this purpose and a place to unpack the downloads before they are copied into my shares folders.
I intend to start fresh with WHS 2011 in the near future so I will install as a service and see how I get on.

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
I can not replicate the issue reliably so I think it is random too. It turns out some downloads generate the message several times, where as others don't at all.
I built another fresh windows xp install (from a different disk) and I get the same thing there.
Surprised this doesn't affect more people to be honest.

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
I'm working on building in extra checks.
Also a job with a missing admin file will be treated as "failed",
because the problem now lacks visibility leading to the user's confusion.

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
Had totally forgotten about this thread and found it through google. Was surprised when I saw the OP was me
I still have the same issue it just randomly gives this error.
Do you think it could be because my folders is on an external USB drive? It is a really slow drive.

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
Do not use an external drive for "incomplete".
It's OK as final folder, but you may need to increase Config->Special->wait_ext_drive
