Hey Guys,
Have a new install which is creating these errors, they appear to be cosmetic as the downloads are fine:
2011-10-18 00:28:01,286 ERROR: Loading C:\usenet\Debian6\__ADMIN__\SABnzbd_article_znrxym failed
Seems to happen for all the downloads. I am adding them via the chrome plugin and on the nzbmatrix site. Haven't actually tried any other indexing sites to see if this is the problem (doubt it)
Version: 0.6.9
OS: Windows XP SP3
Install-type:Windows Installer
Skin (if applicable): Classic Lightblue
Firewall Software: Disabled
Are you using IPV6? No
Is the issue reproducible? Yes
Cheers!

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
If it matters, my temp directory is C:\usenet where as my completed directory is on my NAS box.
Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
Something is wrong with the access rights of c:\usenet
Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
ah, might make an amount of sense. I created that dir while logged in with a different user than sab runs under. I will del it and recreate it with the current user.
Cheers dude

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
I just rebuilt my windows XP install specifically because this error was pissing me off. The new install has exact same problem.
Only thing I can think of that this might differentiate my install from most is that it's a virtual box built on ESXi.
Any ideas?

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
Can you describe an actual scenario?
When exactly does the error message occur?
Right after loading the NZB into the queue?
When the job starts downloading?
After a SABnzbd restart?

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
The errors seem to show up during a download, I don't think it's at the start or the end. There is never more than one per download, and it doesn't happen on every download. I queued up 8 files before (via chrome, using the sab connect plugin) via nzbmatrix. 5 of the 8 gave the error.
Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
It cannot really be access rights, since it's just some files all in the same folder.
It would almost seem as if some admin files fail to write without any feedback from the OS.
So far reports indicate that this only happens with non-local disks.
I'll need to examine if it's possible to add some extra diagnostic code.
When I have something to test, I'll contact you again.

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
no probs, just drop me a line when you have something and I'll drop the code onto that box.
I'm just going to build a ubuntu machine in the mean time I think (but I'll leave the other one configured in esxi)

Re: Loading Sabnzbd article failed
Just thought I'd post a quick update to say this problem doesn't exist on windows 7 on the same platform (esxi).
