If you go to the miredo / teredo thread, I'll try to help you there.

Thanks to Sander for writing a script to check server statuses.
Since this web site is dead (or it always seems to be) and the other address given (http://www.appelboor.com:8888/report.html) is just as useless now. Any chance someone has an alternative?

@Sander: Since it is your script, any chance you have a copy of it running on another web site?

The current VPS is horrible; it stops responding after a few hours/days.. I've already rent a new one, which will be the new webserver.

As we speak I'm rebooting the old, bad VPS so that I can access the files there and copy them to my new VPS.

EDIT:

The base files copied. See http://toverdoos.waardenburg.net/newsserver.txt

Thanks Sander.

Any chance of the ordered layout version?

Plus can you add weathergirl-ipv6.tele2.net on to the list?

Better layout: that is jquery based. I have to dive into that how that works and which files are needed.

weathergirl-ipv6.tele2.net is now in the list.

Ah okay, thanks Sander.

Also, I thought this script was to check free news servers? Or has that changed? Because as far as I can tell news.casema.nl, news.kpn.nl, news.lightningusenet.com, and nova.planet.nl you cannot access for free in any way. Or am I missing something?

Edit:
Just noticed another free server that is not on the list (even though it requires a username and password to access it):
reader.xsusenet.com

The script/website is to check newsservers in general. And FWIW: news.kpn.nl is free if you're a KPN (=telco/ISP) customer / on their network. EDIT: The words "Account needed?" tell you whether it needs an account.

reader.xsusenet.com added.

Is this the format you meant:

http://toverdoos.waardenburg.net/newsserver.html

If so: it's now running on the new website, once per hour at ten minutes before the whole hour (so: x:50).

Sometimes they go up and down. (Hey they are free, you can't expect the service of a paid server.)
Keep checking the Newsserver Status page to see if it is also offline for others.

In my experience newszilla6 itself is always up, and you can always access it via non-teredo/miredo-IPv6.
However, it seems that accessing it via teredo/miredo-IPv6 (so if you have an IPv6 address starting with 2001:0:) not always works. My guess is that the teredo/miredo-providers sometimes block it (maybe in case of traffic overload).

And, probably more important: does your own IPv6 work. Test it via http://test-ipv6.com/ . So I would say poster dubya11 should check that first ... :)

ive had an account at xsnews for quite awhile. The free ipv6 account. However I haven't been able to connect to it through miredo for months. Today it suddenly started working? Did they change something on their end or is something else going on? I can connect through miredo on ubuntu with my free ipv6 account.
