Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.

"always open this file type" ... when any file is downloaded in chrome it is visible on bottom of the browser where you can click on it to open it. You may also right click on it and choose "always open this type of file" so no clicking to open the file is needed. With an downloaded NZB it will open it causing Lion to generate a dialog box saying something to the effect "you downloaded this from the internet..do you really want to open it?".. Click yes and its associated program kicks in. Sabnzbd V 6.10 and prior would then que the NZB. V6.14 will not que the file nor will manually trying to open the NZB in finder. If the NZB does not come from Sickbeard it will not load. Safari has the same "problem".

Association of NZB with some program is done with the Finder.
The SABnzbd "installer" does not do that for you.
Possibly it's now broken, but not by release 0.6.14.
You probably have to teach Finder again to use SABnzbd as primary target for NZB files.
I'm not sure if browsers follow the Finder settings or that they have their own association.

Then why going back to v6.10 resolves the problem?

It works fine on my Lion box with 0.6.14.
