As I have said before, the status page only refreshes when the Queue is refreshed and there will be a way to refresh the status page independently.
As far as the current speed, it is displayed on the Status page: http://uploadpic.org/v.php?img=teWkweVEm9

I will also include a version number for the app itself in the Status page.

I have experienced where my profile was suddenly gone, but a restart of the application fixed that for me. Try this patched version, I'm pretty confident that this fixed it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/244748/Sabnzbd% ... roller.apk

But I guess we wont know for sure if it's fixed till it's been tested so.
Your update fixed it ;) Apparently, the profiles where made but I couldn't see them. Now I have 3 times the same profile ;)

But ehm, about the status tab. You said I could still see the actual download speed, but I cannot find it. Are you sure it is still there?
Please expand the status tab a little bit more. Like Sander said you can add the actual version of your app in it ;)

Edit:

Hmm, I guess the refresh rate doesn't work very well. The status tab says there is 7,8 gb left in the queue, but the queue page says there is only 300 mb left do download...
Maybe you can add a refresh option to the menu button, when viewing the status tab?

I've encountered a weird bug when searching for files in ES File Explorer

When viewing different types of folders, I get the text of the homescreen of SABNzbd Controller. You have to see this for yourself:

Um, lol, that IS NOT the text of the homescreen of SABNzbd Contoller... That is part of ES File Explorer since you are looking at FTP Server...

Macroevich, I did find the bug that made the Speed/Speed Limit and everything after that invisible to the user. I've fixed that bug in the latest release, 0.88. Here it is: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/244748/Sabnzbd% ... roller.apk

Here are the changes in this release,
  • Brought back static "Add Controller" button
  • History page refreshes automatically
  • Fixed invisible Speed/Speed Limit bug

I've have gotten 2 of the same errors from your device. Could you please provide some information on what it is exactly that you are doing to cause these crashes. I tested the application on a 4.0.3 emulator without any issues. Thanks!
Eejit wrote:Installed on HTC Desire, OS 2.2 working fine, although not has too much time to play with.
Installed same version (latest listed above, Jan 13) on Transformer Prime, OS 4.0.3 (ICS)
Opens with "No profiles found! Click the MENU button to add a new one." That's normal, opening it up the very first time.
Problem is, there is no MENU button. On this tablet with ICS, the buttons are all software generated so no Menu button.

With the latest update and the static "Add Controller" button, I can now try this out on the TF201.
Seems to be working fine. The app did crash when trying to access the History but I think this only happened once. This is using V0.88 on ICS

"The application SABNzbdController (process com.gmail.at.faint545) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

I get the error everytime I try and access the History on the HTC Desire, OS 2.2, which has been updateed with V0.88
The history is large, with about 1600 entries (Just purged the history and it's not crashing any more)

The Desire is stock but rooted if that helps

Ah, ok. I will have to test out the app with a huge history to try and fix the issue.

I've released a new copy of this application with some major UI changes. The Status page has changed a lot and it can now be refreshed independently by pulling downwards. Any suggestions as how I can improve the status page would be appreciated. My next goal is to provide more details about a particular downloaded item.

Hmm @ faint545,

I can't install this app from the Android market because it is not available for my country (the netherlands). I have more english applications on my phone, so you should be able to fix it :) Would you take a look at this for me?

Thx!

Not sure how hard this would be to implement, but is there any chance you've considered associating your controller app with all .nzb files? For example, while browsing NZBMatrix on my Android device, I could simply click the download URL for the .nzb file and the dialog would appear asking me which app I would like to use to "perform this action" - one option being your controller app (which would, of course, add the .nzb to the queue).

Not sure what API calls are in place to facilitate adding .nzb's, but that would be a nifty feature to have.
Just for the information it's pretty simple, adding this into the correct activity in manifest do the trick :

Code: Select all

<intent-filter>
    <action android:name="android.intent.action.VIEW" />

    <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT" />
    <category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE" />

    <data
        android:host="*"
        android:mimeType="*/*"
        android:pathPattern=".*\\.nzb"
        android:scheme="http" />
    <data
        android:host="*"
        android:mimeType="*/*"
        android:pathPattern=".*\\.nzb"
        android:scheme="https" />
    <data
        android:host="*"
        android:mimeType="*/*"
        android:pathPattern=".*\\.nzb"
        android:scheme="file" />
</intent-filter>
PM me if you need any help.

I am currently in the process of rebuilding this application as I was not very satisfied with the previous release. You can follow the progress here: https://www.pivotaltracker.com/projects/504971. In addition, if you are interested in contributing code, visit: https://github.com/alexfu/SABNzbd-Controller

Hi

I'd like to use your app if it's still available. Where can I download it?

Thanks,
