Scheduling by catagory

Post by pilothaz »

Just wondering if this could be done as I have searched and doesn't look like it is been suggested yet.

TekSavvy in Canada will be offering off-peak hour Unlimited bandwidth from their 300GB/mth service. I know there is a way to schedule for time periods already, but would there be a way to incorporate categories?

An example would be that things would be queued for the category Movies (if you usually download BRips) so it will limit your monthly bandwidth.

It would be great if this could be incorporated.

Cheers and Beers,
Haz

Give one category the priority "forced".
This will ignore the "paused" status.

True, this is one way I could do it.

Also, instead of that could there be a way for specific file sizes to have auto paused? A Bracketed range maybe?

There's an experimental feature for that:

I am happy to see this topic brought up as split off/on peak quotas are big in Australia. The issue I have is if SAB is paused then it refuses files from Sickbeard. The only one I could see to get around that is to ask Sickbeard to drop files into the watch folder but then I cannot force it into a category?

SABnzbd does not refuse new NZB files when it is paused.

Maybe that was the wrong wording, it seems to only pick up on them when it is un-paused due to the way Sickbeard calls on SAB. I will do some more testing but I am fairly certain this is the behaviour.
For example my off peak is 1am - 9am and currently anything coming through from Sickbeard would just appear around 1AM.

Ideally I would like to have files coming through from Sickbeard forced through at any time and all others file waiting until 1AM to be downloaded.

EDIT:
That worked that time, but I have tried this many times? Ok, I will still with it and see how this goes.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

That's the way I use it, without problems.
It could be that there are bugs somewhere, but the Pause function is the least likely cause.

So a quick update to this, last night the machine resumed at 1AM and paused 9AM as it always does.

The files coming in from Sickbeard are coming in but are not forcing them, it seems to be defaulting them to high instead of Forced possibly because it was paused? I am 100% sure that came in during the 'paused' time because I checked an hour ago and they were not there and it's past 2PM here. Odd behaviour.

EDIT:
After some looking around this seems to be default behaviour for Sickbeard for new snatches?
