Newbie stuck on installation (Linux)

Hello people,

I'm a newb when it comes to Linux so my excuses if this is a stupid question:

I own a ZyXel NSA310 NAS and i'm trying to enable it to download trough Usenet. Sabnzbd looks like the best sollution so I tried to install it by doing the following:

- Install FFP-stick
- Enable SSH
- Install Python
- Install Cheetah
- Install SABnzbd

But the SABnzbd installation is "stuck" at URLGrabber starting up?

The "URLGrabber starting up" message could very well be the last line SAB says; SAB is then running and waiting for input. You should then access it via the webinterface. So point your webbrowser at something like http://192.168.1.40:8080 (with 192.168.1.40 the IP address of your Zyxel box) ... do you get the webinterface?

I noticed the various "NOT found" and I am trying to install them, but when trying to install _yenc I get the following error:

I tried setting the permission with "mkdir -m 00222 -p /ffp/bin/gcc" but no luck...

So it's running on http://localhost:7777/ , and you should connect on something like http://192.168.1.50:7777/ ...

Great news,

It still wouldn't connect with your advice, but I decided to start out fresh. And I got it up and running this time.

Going to see if it will download files correctly and then I'll post up a little tutorial for the NSA310.

Hi all,

Firstly this is my 1st post so hello to all.
Been using SABnzbd for years now and very very happy with it.

I myself have just ordered one of the NSA301 boxes for the very same reason.

Did you manage to get it all working OK?

Any chance on a guide on how you got it working.

Have been trying for the last two days and haven't had any luck.

I'm having an issue installing Cheetah as it keeps coming back with a distutils error, not sure what the problem is.

Anyone any ideas on how to set this up.

I would also like a tutorial as im stuck on trying to install cheetah, comes up with distuls error (something like that).
Would love to get this running SAB so i can finally turn off my old P4 pc that i have running 24/7.
