Connection Error

Post by Influence »

Sabnzbd will work fine and download at max speed for a while, then it will just stop with the error:

Code: Select all

Failed to connect: (110, '[Errno -2] Name or service not known') [email protected]:443
If I restart sab, it will work again. When it gives this error I can go into servers and test server, which comes back "Connection Successful".

It does it at random times, it'll run all night with no problems then stop, I'll restart it and it may run for an hour before stopping again.

I think this is a problem with name resolving. And that can be caused by a non-functional or unreachable nameserver, or by a network problem.

So check that.

And/or: create another server entry in SABnzbd, with '91.208.207.165' (=ssl-eu.astraweb.com) as news server, with your ssl-eu.astraweb.com credentials, and just one thread. If that keeps working all the time, it is a nameserver problem. If that has problems too, it is a network problem.

Of course as soon as I try to test this I haven't had the error... Maybe it was just a temporary issue with the ISP
