Help me get my speed right?

Post by reno55 »

I just upgraded to a faster internet package (30mb) and I cannot seem to get sabnzbd to go faster than 1.2/1.3mb. This is in the main webui screen in the middle next to the sabnzbd logo.

Can anyone help me out here? I entered in 40000kb so wouldnt that be more than enough? I have no speed limit in place in the tuning section of the config.

When SAB is *not* downloading, what speed do you get on http://speedtest.net/ ?

Oh: you do know the difference between bits and Bytes, don't you? If not, see the SABnzbd FAQ.

OK, good.

A few questions:
- on what hardware is SAB running? CPU and RAM ...
- what is the max speed of your newsserver 'plan'?
- how many connections have you defined? My choise would be 8. Not higher.
- have you tried with another usenet download program? (options: NNTPgrab)

So hardware, usenet plan, internet connection ... are not the problem.

Can you lower 20 to 8? And can you try NNTPgrab or grabit?
