I recently re-installed SABnzbd 0.7.5-2 from the synocommunity repo to my synology DS212+ using DSM 4.1-2661 however I am not able to connect to the web interface. I am using safari on Mountain Lion.
After a reboot of the server, I can see that the folders have been reinstalled. I have tried many combinations of reboot/uninstall/reinstalls etc but I cannot get this to work.
I have also checked that port 8080 is not being used already or that the firewall is blocking it.
This was all working fine until the reinstall. For the record, I re-installed because I changed the directory destinations which did not work, so I deleted the folders and started again
Any ideas? Please let me know what other information I can provide.

me too. did you get it sorted out?
Re: Cannot connect to web interface since re-install
No, I'm afraid not.
I have resorted to downloading SAB on Mac and doing everything manually. I will also have to reconfigure Sickbeard until somebody can point me in the right direction.
Can anyone help out?

Same problem here.
Listened IP in sabnzbd config is 0.0.0.0 with 8085 port.
Have opened 8085 in TCP and UDP.
Localhost is ok but not my IP

Re: Cannot connect to web interface since re-install
Looks like a bad DNS configuration.
Lookup the true IP address of your system and use that (something like 192.168.1.xxx).
You do have to make sure that your router will always assign the same IP address.

My private ip is 192.168.0.39 and my router is forwarding port correctly from 8085 outside to 192.168.0.39:8085
And for another service (VNC through 5900) I don't have problem to access this computer from outside.
Where is located the ini/conf file ?
To check it manually but I'm not sure it is wrong.
Mmmm maybe also Windows 7 firewall is a problem, even if I didn't have any problem some versions ago.
Can't find how to open port in this firewall.
Also, SABNZBD doesn't handle "Upnp" protocol like utorrent ?
Re: Cannot connect to web interface since re-install
Because we don't want people to expose their SABnzbd UI to the outside world automaticallyDraky wrote:Also, SABNZBD doesn't handle "Upnp" protocol like utorrent ?
and possibly unintentional without proper precautions.
uTorrent does it only for its torrent port.
Re: Cannot connect to web interface since re-install
UPDATE: SABNZBD Synocommunity had an update waiting for me this evening.
This did not work straight from the update so I uninstalled/re-installed, reset everything (Macbook,Diskstation and router) and... success.
Maybe this will work for others.
Best of luck and thanks for the input.
