Slow download with 0.7.4
I upgraded to 0.7.4 and am running Mac OSX 10.8.2. Download speeds have slowed down to the point of non-existence and it disconnects after awhile. Things were working well with the last version of SABZNBD. Not sure what happened.
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
Try setting "randomize_server_ip" to "on" on the Config->Special page.
Save and restart after that.
Which Usenet provider do you use?

Thanks for the reply. I have an account with newsgroupdirect.
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
Does the change solve the problem?
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
Possibly the coming release 0.7.6 will solve your problem.
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
Your solution did solve the problem. Thanks! Can't wait for the next release. Hope it doesn't change things again.
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
I guess I should say it solved it for some and not all. For some reason, a lot of the NZBs are not downloading or fail rather early. The failure rate has increased significantly. Some fail when the download speed dies to less than 1 KB/s
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
The fix you applied can only solve only the speed problem.
If you only have a single server, it cannot solve issues of article availability (or related issues in SABnzbd).
Are you sure that the material is on the Usenet server?
A post being gone from the servers is no longer a rare event.

This is the way SABnzbd behaves when a post is no longer on the server. The failure rate has increased significantly. Some fail when the download speed dies to less than 1 KB/s

Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
I am having the same issue. I went from 2.5MB/s download speeds to 500KB/s and many downloads just fail towards the end. I am using the same OS and I tried turning on the radomize server ip with no change. I use NZBmatrix for my Usenet provider. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
I am using a cable modem/router sbg6580 and my speedtest results show 20Mb/s down. I am not sure what happened.

Did the speed drop occur when changing versions?cwn42 wrote:I am having the same issue. I went from 2.5MB/s download speeds to 500KB/s and many downloads just fail towards the end. What if you back to an older version?
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
I did not perform any updates until last night after the problem existed. I was hoping that the update might resolve the issue. I recently started using SABnzbd for the first time as of September so I am not sure what my options are to correct this. Are their any settings that I should check with the index site or with the router/modem? I am looking right now at a download and it is right around 650KB/s.
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
I'm down to 141B/s.
Re: Slow download with 0.7.4
Now the download failed. Any help to fix this problem would be great!!
