Downloads die, need help.

Post by brockm »

Hi, when I start sabnzbd I'll get about 250 KB/s download rate, then after about 5 minutes or so it will slowly drop to 0 then -----. I then restart the program and it does it again. Taking forever to d/l files. What is going on and how can I fix it? Thanks.

What happens when you use another NZB-download program like NNTPgrab, NZBget or Grabit?

Notice the 'delaying' lines. Why is it initiating a delay?
Edit: Also when you restart Sabnzbd it will work for a while and then slowly come to a halt

I too am getting the delay after receiving a few MB of files. I have to restart SABnzdb and and then it will download another few MB and delay again. I am running under Linux. This seemed to have started after the 0.7.8 upgrade. I have not tried to revert to the previous version yet; I wanted to wait and see if there is a quick fix. Also, I noticed that arjanscholl is using xsnews.nl, I am using usenetserver so it doesn't appear to be a provider issue.

I can now say reverting to 0.7.7 fixes the problem

Others work fine. Seems like it might be a bug in the latest update?

Could be this (rather embarrassing) error.

I think I am having the same problem.

Download starts, goes for awhile (maxed out connecting 2.5MB/s) and then stops, 0. I restart Sab and it starts going again.

I am on Usenetserver, Ubuntu 12.04, internal drives, no new features enabled 0.7.8

And that link means nothing to me lol Does that fix it somehow?

No, but the message is: go back to 0.7.7 until this is fixed.

Oh alright, well I am quite new with Ubuntu, so that might be harder then it should be.

Any time frame?

Ask in the board that I pointed you to.
(Because I don't know myself.)
