Sabnzbd won't send emails.

Hey guys,

I have setup Sabnzbd with my email information, but it is not sending the emails.

Anyone know why?

Did you use the "test email" button?

yes, I did.

The only thing I didn't do was give it a template. Do I need to do that?

After I save the settings and leave notifications page, if I come back to it, some information is missing, like username/password and the 'send email from'. Is this supposed to happen>

No, it's supposed to be saved.
Which Web browser?

Firefox, latest build. It also does the same in Safari.

It's also not saving the tickboxes, like when I tick the 'Send RSS notifications' box.

Yeah, just checked and all of the other pages seem fine, it's just this page.

Er, no I don't run any. If I put them in and click save, they stay in the boxes, however if I navigate away from the notifications page, and come back. They've vanished again. Only the top 2 boxes of the email section remain filled.

Operating system browser runs on?
Did you try to clean the browser's cache?

Sab is running on Debian, the browser is running on OS X.

I'll try clearing the browsers cache now.

The honest answer: I have no idea.
The easiest recourse for me is to blame it on a poor porting job of the browser.
But then again, I cannot reproduce it on my own Mac: Safari, Firefox and Chrome are all OK.
I also have no real reason to suspect Debian.

What happens if you edit the sabnzbd.ini file directly (while SABnzbd is not running)?

I can try that, can you confirm which fields I need to enter my email username and password in?

I found the username field and if I add the information to the .ini file, it works fine

Now I just need to find out where the other fields are to add information, such as passwords!
