Headphones : Music albums and artists auto download program
Re: Headphones : Music albums and artists auto download prog
Easiest just to post an issue on github.... Or the new forum!

You can try to search the github issue tracker too, to see if its come up before (i think it has and we debugged it)

I've read though the post about headphones here but I can't be sure. Is it possible to use headphones without needing to pay for access to the musicbrain DB?

Re: Headphones : Music albums and artists auto download prog
I have successfully installed sabnzbd onto my Synology 412+ with Sickbeard, Couch Potato (including server), and Headphones. Everything works. However, I noticed that when I type an artist in Headphones, it takes way to long to retrieve (not download any songs) the album information (and yes, I have donated to Headphones for the upgraded access and am not using the MusicBrainz mirror). For example, typing in Guns N Roses, who only have 6 albums takes over a couple of minutes - this shouldn't take that long, should it? I have checked my Mac and am getting good speed on Speedtest.net (something like 21Mbps download). Anyone have any ideas?

How would I start Headphones and hide the python console?

Is this still being developed ? I'm getting a fair few errors and it hasn't updated in some time.
I'll probably cry if it's dead

Mine won't search for an artist anymore, comes back with no results.
And when try to check for up updates I get an error.
Website is not working.
Looks like its dead now
Its a shame, Could've been great!

It lives?
I see searches completing, but no downloading. I expect to see it passing to sabnzbd using API key, but I don't.
hints? Can I increase logging level somehow?

Is it dead or not then? I had it installed but was running in a lot of trouble. I wiped clean my usenet downloading box, now reinstalling everything but I'm not sure I'll put headphones as it doesn't seem active anymore..?
Re: Headphones : Music albums and artists auto download prog
Is it unusual to have python use a full core (3 GHz dual core) when headphones is adding and updating albums? I do have 2000+ artists in my collection (~1000 albums and a number of compilations/soundtracks among them), but I'd expect updates like these to just happen sequentially and thus not use much CPU time.
Why would it be dead? Just look at the date of the last commit, that was not a week ago.

That reminds me, the reason I posted here is that the forum above seems to have disappeared, and posting a question about possibly normal behaviour in github seemed a bit odd. What would be the best place to discuss headphones now?rembo10 wrote:Easiest just to post an issue on github.... Or the new forum!

Re: Headphones : Music albums and artists auto download prog
Hi guys,
Wondering if someone can help me? I've installed Headphones and it's currently going through my back catalogue of music and seems to be working fine. I have it running remotely though and would like to access it from a different computer within the same network (as is possible with sabnzdb, cp, sb) but I can't get it to work nor find any documentation on the matter. Can someone advise how they do it? I have Headphones running on a WHS 2011 server.

You should be able to use any PC on your network and go to http://machine:8181
Port 8181 is the default so if you changed that in the HP config you'll need to change it on your browser too
'machine' is the name of the PC you have HP installed on
Make sure you have "0.0.0.0" or "localhost" set under HP's settings / Web Interface/Basic/HTTP Host
