.rar files

Post by jwhitt12 »

I keep getting downloads of .rar files that no archiver can read (I have tried 5 or 6 programs to deal with rar files). The usual response seems to infer that the .rar file is not really a .rar file. Sometimes this happens even when sab says the job is complete.

Just wondering.............

There's simply a lot of junk on Usenet.
Email a (small) example to [email protected] and include the URL of this message.

I too am having this problem, but mostly with certain shows, like Game of Thrones. I had no issues with the first two seasons but i cannot get any of the season 3 episodes because they always fail or just downloads .rar files. I know they are getting taken down quickly so I'm not sure if this is the reason, but sabnzbd usually indicates a success and no errors. But when I go to the download folder, many times I only see .rar files. I'm fairly technical, so if you point me to some tool or something else that can fix this, i can probably play around. not sure what i'm doing wrong here.. thanks for the help!

Sorry, I'm really in need of some help.. I've been spending hours trying to get this to work but can't. If someone could just explain what the problem is, maybe I can figure it out. I am trying to get a show and keep getting files like:

136231.part01.rar
136231.part02.rar
136231.part03.rar
...
136231.part45.rar

Before, SAB would create a MKV file that Handbrake would convert to m4v. This is no longer working for many shows, such as Game of Thrones. What am I doing wrong??

What is the status on the "History" of the item? What was the processing status (Download? Repair? Unpack? Delete?)? Can you manually unrar it?
