Sabnzbd vs newshosting speed

Fibre broadband is toping out at about 6MBs and until yesterday Sabnzbd (installed on WHS1) took advantage of most of that, but is now topping out at 1.9MBs
If I use the Newshosting client on a local PC, downloading to the same network folder - its back up at 6MBs

Yesterday I attempted to add some more capacity to the WHS by removing one fo the 1.5tb drives and installing a 3tb, however didnt realise WHS will not natively support this size drive - so had to remove it and put back the 1.5gb. All of this was done correctly using the console - so should not have really have affected the download speed on the server (but seems to conincidental).

Whilst downloading the server memory / lan / PF usage are low ... So im stumped what to do now....

Any thoughts on why the download through SABnzbd has dropped so much, and how to resolve it?
