Ok..can't figure this out. Sab's web interface not starting

Post by Shedding »

I tried and I tried. I looked everywhere, but I guess I am going to need more professional help (in more ways than one).

I am working on a netgear readynas 516. I used to have sab running flawlessly. For whatever reason, sab stopped working. It seemed that it somehow copied an old sabnzbd.ini file I had before. So I figured, fine, I will remove sab and reinstall fresh.

I did a apt-get remove sabnzbd
everything was removed. I removed all the config files, everything related to sab was yanked out.

I reinstalled sab using apt-get install sabnzbd (Which gets it from the readynas site) i can get the sabnzbdplus from the debian distro site as well if need be.

This is where it gets funny. I have gotten the start page working, I run through the wizard and then when it restarts I get nothing. I am using the right port number (indicated on the logs) but I get nothing. I also make sure sab is running. One thing I have noticed which is extremely annoying is that in the ~/.sabnzbd folder I have a sabnzbd.ini and a sabnzbd.ini.bak (I think they are previous config files I've had and somehow when the package gets installed, these old ini files are put in) this is the reason I feel this is not working. Here is the log file when i do a "Python sabnzbd" to run sab.

root@nas-D5-DB-98:/apps/sabnzbd/bin# python sabnzbd

Solved his issue on IRC, as the log shows "host" was set to "localhost".

So http://<NAS IP>:8090/ is not responding after correcting the "host = " line in /root/.sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini and restarting SAB?

edit: If you haven't figured it out by 09:00 US-Eastern tomorrow feel free to bug me on IRC. I'll be waking up some time around then.
