SABnzbd not passing completed movcies back to Couchpotato

Post by ozpeg63 »

Hi,

i am running SABnzbd with Couchpotato and having a slight issues (probably an ID-10-T error)

Couchpotato is passing the NZB files to SABnzbd with no issues, and I rarely have failures. However once the movies complete being downloaded SABnzbd is not passing them back to CouchPotato.

It was working well, until recently but (I'll be honest) I can't recall if I have changed one of the processing fields or not.

Can anyone advise which "processing' option I should be using ? +Download, +Unpack or +Delete ?

Cheers ???

SABnzbd isn't meant to pass something back, CouchPotato calls the SABnzbd API every minute and checks the status of the nzb's it added. Check the CouchPotato logs, they will most likely contain an error message.

So i understand how the SABnzbd / CouchPotato relationships works i have one more question :

Once SAB downloads the movie to the specified folder I am presuming there is a delay between the time of the download completing and CouchPotato processing the movie and moving it to the actual library folder ?

I have found a field in CP where it forces the rename to scan every X hours (eg 1 hour) - I take ti this is causing the delay ? If so, is there a way of specifying a time less that 1 hour (eg 10 mins ? Or does it check every hour from the time the movie is 'snatched' ?

I think I am expecting CP to work immediately like Sickbeard - if there is a forced delay then I can live with that

On default settings, it checks SABnzbd every minute and thus should pick up the movie within one minute after it was downloaded, repaired and unpacked. From my experience, that doesn't work if you manually pick a release (and possibly if the download folder contains non-alphanumeric characters).

I've set up the forced rescan myself as well and set the location to the same folder where all my movies are located and have SABnzbd unpack movies to that folder. So if CouchPotato fails to get information from SABnzbd, the movie is still added to my library in under 2 hours (you could lower this to 30 minutes or 1 hour if you prefer, it's not that big of a task).
