installing newest version [synology]

Hi all,

I installed SABnzbd a while ago on my Synology NAS via the Packet manager. This version is 0.6.14(or 15) and I really want to update.

The only problem is, how?

I've located the directory it's installed into. And I've downloaded the newest version from the website.

What do I do now?

For things like Synology you probably need a package.
I don't know enough about Synology to help you out.
In principle, it should be enough just to unpack the tar.gz file and
run "python SABnzbd.py".
The problem lies in setting it up (because there's no local web browser)
and getting it to start at system startup.
Both issues are solved when delivered as a package.

Dirty fix, installed it from an other already updated repository.

Will do it for now, won't fix it for later.

SAB is updated regularly with latest versions.
