Re: unrar 5 and metadata password
hi it dowsnt say anything about the space, but it tells me in the gui, that
Entpacken: 01/81
» Entpacken fehlgeschlagen. Archiv benötigt ein Passwort. (unrar went wrong)
and when i click the packages in the info the pw is ex: " xyz" with the space infron
and it stays with 01 till i restart the service (i have waited 4 houres)
thats my log file whith the specivic info to this package: http://pastebin.com/ahV6kSA8
also what is strange when i add a packages packagename password=xyz.nzb the password in the gui is also displayed with the space infront this wasnt the case with the earlier version, which hadnt had the rar5 fix
i also tried packagename{{xyz}}.nzb the same pw in the gui = " xyz"

Re: unrar 5 and metadata password
Hello, I can confirm this. I've recently updated to 0.7.17Beta2 and unrar reports password needed.
example: adding a file 'foo{{bar}}.nzb' results to
filename: 'foo'
password: ' bar' (with leading space)
Not sure if the space was already there at previous version (maybe yes and unrar was called with trimmed or unquoted password...?). How ever, with the current version it tries to unrar with leading space and fails.
To workaround this, I go to package info and remove the leading space manually from password, and unrar works.

Re: unrar 5 and metadata password
There's a bug in Beta2. Will be solved in the next release.
Re: unrar 5 and metadata password
I want to download some password protected file that is compressed with WinRAR 5.
Usually, I use SABnzbd on a NAS (QNAP). There doesn't seem to be unrar 5 available for the NAS yet. I guess I could build it myself from source.
Alternatively I use SABnzbd on a Mac. Same thing. The binary provided is still at version 4.x
Now I installed SABnzbd on a Windows 7 PC. I also installed the free unrarw32.exe v5.0 to unpack the file.
I went looking in the SABnzbd settings to find the location where I can specify the unrar being used, but I only found a checkbox "use internal rar". If I uncheck it, I have no option to pick a different external unrar command.
What's the preferred way of solving this? For now, I unpacked it manually, but it sure is nicer to do it from within SABnzbd.
Thanks!

Re: unrar 5 and metadata password
Try SABnzbd 0.7.17Beta3, see Announcements.
That solves the unrar problem for Windows and OSX.

Thank You.

Re: unrar 5 and metadata password
I don't know.
We do not create such packages, that's done by independent third-parties.
