SABNZBD cant unrar 5.01 archives

Rarlabs came out with a new version 5.01 in December 2013.

Now for some newer archives SABNZBD gives error: "Unusable rar file" and doesn't unpack.

Checksums verify and Winrar 5.01 will test archive successfully, and Winrar 5.01 can unrar successfully.

Not a big deal at the moment, but as people upgrade to 5.01 it will be a big deal.

Wish there was a "This job can be marked complete" option on the history line so I could note that that one was done (even though I had to unrar manually)

So ... is the problem in unrar (versus winrar), or in SAB?

Can you PM me a link to such a problematic .NZB? It's not rar-password protected, is it? Because that unrar5 problem will be solved in SAB 0.7.17.
I tried unrar 5.01 with SAB with a .NZB, and I had no problem.

I had the same problem with a release today. sabnzbd 0.7.17 wasn't able to unpack the release due to "Unusable rar file". I was however able to unpack it manually with WinRAR 5.01.

On which operating system are you using SABnzbd?
Please note that only the binary distributions for Windows and OSX contain unrar 5.01
For any other platform you'll need to install unrar 5.01 by yourself.

Oh Wasn't aware of that, I'm running sabnzbd on a Ubuntu server installation.

My bad, it turned out that I was running unrar 4.00 on my server. I upgraded it manually and all seems ok now.

Probably, sounds like a good idea to avoid future threads about it
