firefox sab slows whole web interface

Hi pplz

Been using SaB for about 2 yrs and works great but last 2 months have had an issue that having the web page open in firefox causes whole firefox to be delayed and slow and stuttery.

Downloads work PERFECT and speed is great, but its like my computer starts lagging. As soon as i close the tab alll works 100% speed again

It does not occur with explorer, just firefox... but i prefer firefox.

Any ideas how i can troubleshoot this?

Also just noticed if i go into "help" or any other screen it works full speed, it is only when the download page is open that firefox starts chugging. This is even if i have no items on the download list....

Try deleting your browser's cache.
I don't see a problem with Firefox, but a bad cache or sometime an add-on can cause issues.

Thanks shy ill try cleaning cache and disable addons and see how it goes

I have the same problem. With the SAB main window open, Firefox uses 25-30% of CPU with plenty of lag in Firefox. Close that window and CPU drops to about 4% for Firefox and it's responsive again.

I've tried clearing cache and running with no addons (Safe mode) and get the same effect.

Probably bugs in Firefox.
You can lower the refresh frequency (Options at the top right of the SABnzbd page).
