Can the Account logins NOT be stored in plain text please.

Yep. Unfortunately there's not really anything we -- or any other pass-through client application -- can do about this problem that actually resolves it.

The developers of Pidgin and libpurple have a pretty good writeup on the subject. Keyring support would be great, but wouldn't work for all the platforms we support, a similar problem the Pidgin devs have.
