Every time I reboot my computer, "SABnzbd Host" comes up as 127.0.0.1. In order to access the server over WiFi, I have to go to config/general, clear the value in "SABnzbd Host", save settings and restart the server. I also tried setting the specific IP address of my system. Either way, after a reboot it goes back to 127.0.0.1.
The "SABnzbd Host" setting value ought to survive a reboot.

What do you set it to now?
Normally 0.0.0.0 would be the right choice for your situation.

Re: "SABnzbd Host" setting doesn't stick
I had tried making it blank and entering the actual IP (192.168.1.60) on which I wanted it to respond. I hadn't thought of using 0.0.0.0, which also didn't work, but then I realized what was going on. I've been running "SABnzbd - SafeMode" because at some point in the past there was some problem that I don't remember (crashing or failing to start), and running SafeMode fixed it. That also seems to force the IP address to 127.0.0.1.
I just tried setting 0.0.0.0, shutting down and running the non-SafeMode version. That worked fine.
Is there a reference listing the differences between normal mode and SafeMode? All I could find is an entry "SABnzbd won't start!" in http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/faq saying that you can use SafeMode like I did, to work around a start-up problem.

Re: "SABnzbd Host" setting doesn't stick
"Safe mode" forces SABnzbd back to the default mode.
It's a bit obsolete now that we have the Windows Tray icon with its troubleshooting menu.
I will remove it from the installer.

Re: "SABnzbd Host" setting doesn't stick
This is happening to me as well. My host setting won't stick - I'm on a Mac, am running SABnzbd from an .app.
Is my /Library/Application Support/SABnzbd directory even used any more since I switched to using an .app?
I checked, and the sabnzbd.ini file DOES have it set properly - to 0.0.0.0, but every time I reboot - it seems to go back to "localhost" and will not start.
- Thanx for any help!

Re: "SABnzbd Host" setting doesn't stick
On some systems SABnzbd has trouble finding out what 0.0.0.0 means.
You could try using the system's local IP address.

Re: "SABnzbd Host" setting doesn't stick
Ah. Thanks. Seems to have worked. At least - I can start SABnzbd with the app now.
