Malformed articles left in download folder?

Post by Apache77 »

Recently, more and more of my SAB downloads have "leftover" pieces in the folder after the file is successfully downloaded and repaired.

For example, this is what the folder for a recent download looks like, with five leftover pieces:

Am I safe to delete these leftover pieces, since the download/repair appears to have otherwise worked just fine? Or should I be concerned that the file I downloaded might be incomplete?

Due to these odd file names, indexers have trouble creating reliable NZB files.
If the main file is OK, I wouldn't worry about these debris files.

Just following up on this.

Is it possible to have SAB automagically delete these leftover pieces after a successful download? I'm assuming I can add the extension to SAB's cleanup list, but I don't actually know what type of extension these leftover files are.

SABnzbd never cleans up what it doesn't recognize
and hasn't used in repair or unpack actions.
So, if using the extension-based cleanup doesn't work, you're out of luck.
Possibly you can write your own end-of-job user script,
but you'll have the same problem that I have: which files should go?

No worries, I'll just delete those files manually. Thanks shypike :)
