Hi All,
I have a 2014 iMac i7 and SHOULD BE processing all of my nzb's locally, on an SSD.
For some reason, my unrar unpacking is HORRIBLY slow...
I know there's some kind of unrar issue when you are going across to a NAS, but I'm not doing that...
What can I check?
- Thanx
- Jon
OSX unrar is just horribly slow.

Re: OSX unrar is just horribly slow.
Try to see whether there's something to see in Task Monitor.
Does unrar use a lot of CPU time?
I don't see this issue on my late 2012 iMac, nor 2014 macBook.
Have you tried to unrar a sizable RAR file manually with the unrar tool?
Just to isolate the problem.
From a Terminal window:
/Applications/SABnzbd/Contents/Resources/osx/unrar/unrar x FIRST-RAR-FILE
