That certainly did the trick!
... and then the next problem surfaced. It was gobbling up CPU power like there was no tomorrow. It was junk a constant 37% of all 4 cores, constantly. Network traffic both up and down were 50kB/s permanently. I decided to remove the gadget, reinstall it, and now it won't connect, just like it did before. Blank. (On the upside, no crazy processor use either.)

Same for me.

please clean up:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\
there may be sab folders with older versions.
then download the newest version (make sure the filename is sab.gadget) and install again.
weird you both have the same problem and it works on my test machine...
tell me!

Sorry, I must of had a brain fart. I used 1 ms instead of minimum 1000 ms for the timeout which was causing high \CPU usage. I now am using 2000 ms, but what is the best value to use?
Thanks,
Kizer

i use 1000 mili and never had problems with it. 3 PC's all using one SAB host did not slow i down so use whatever your system can handle
i think a dropdown instaid of a text field is a good idea?
Options:
1000
2000
5000
10000
?

Deleting the files seems to have done the trick. I never bothered to check the refresh timer, I wasn't even aware it was there. (And I certainly never edited the value.)
But all is well again!

I think that would be a great idea. Maybe make it a dropdown based on # of seconds you want the timer to be, but your code can use milliseconds in the background.

I think there should be more options for slower refreshes for slow remote connections that are not of importance.

Version: 1.0.1.6
You can now choose a sound file that plays when the queue is finished.
Go to settings, Options to choose a file by entering the UNC path to the file.
Let me know if this works for you.

Version 1.0.1.7
Just some minor changes
1. Fixed Bug in displaying UNC Path to the sound file
2. Sound now plays for each job in staid of only when the queue finishes.
Plans for next release:
A way to quickly select a category for newly dragged nzb's (feedback please!)
Update:
Added screenshot of my idea for quick category select

Thanks again. Is there anything you plan to add from the new API once 0.5 is out?
http://sabnzbd.wikidot.com/api Let me know if you want to try out a 0.5 alpha Windows executable.
if the Advanced Queue will have json output i will rewrite the gadget so it would use this instaid of the simple queue.
i'm allso going to use the history json output to create a flyout with all history and the statuses.
i'd be happy to try out the 0.5 alpha
