It is really strage because it always worked perfect, and with the old version I recently got SAB socket error. My installations of SickBeard and Couchpotato couldn connect anymore but all the data is correct. It is really confusing and annoying.

No, shypike meant that you just type 'sabnzbdplus' on the command line (first open a Terminal screen). You will then see a lot of (hopefully) interesting output in the screen.

On the first run, SABnzbd says

... so you typed Control-C, right? Why?

And before typing Control-C, could you access SAB on http://192.168.178.41:8080/sabnzbd with a webbrowser on the Ubuntu system itself?

If not, can you post ifconfig?

OK, good. Via the webinterface change the SABnzbd Host to 0.0.0.0, Save, and start sabnzbdplus from the commandline again. Does it run?

No, it says *Address* in use. Strange. Some googling reveals (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4465 ... ady-in-use , http://www.velocityreviews.com/forums/t ... n-use.html) there is a TIME_WAIT before the connection can be used again:
Even when the connection was properly terminated (from an
application's POV), there's a TIME_WAIT period before the TCP stack
considered the connection completely gone and will allow re-use of the
port. IOW, the TIME_WAIT is actually part of the connection
termination (from the TCP stack's POV), and it can takes place after
the application considers the connection closed (and may have even
exited):

However, I've never experienced that. It's worth a try (wait 3 minutes), but first one step back: when you used the 192.168 address 192.168.178.41, could you access from another PC / device on your LAN?

Euhm let me think for a moment. When I started a terminal and run the service sabnzbdplus from there it worked with the 192.168.178.41 address and I could access it form other PC's. Only the terminal needs to keep open, so by a restart you have to start it that way again, which, yay sucks. :(

I don't have to much experience with this, I really appreciate your help ;D

Can you still run SAB 0.6.15? It's available from https://sourceforge.net/projects/sabnzb ... z/download

If so, it's a SAB 0.7.0 bug

If that IP address works (and your system always has that IP address), you can fill it out in the SABnzbd Host field, and then run SABnzbd as a service / daemon. But first try to find out what is going on.
