How much memory in the system?
Recently there was someone on the forum who had problems because he had 128MB memory and no swap partition.

Just another guess:
Try not to use such very long names.

Is it just this job or any other too?
By now, I'm afraid I'm out of answers.

Hi,

I've had the same problem where the download was sitting with the animation running but no unrar'ing occuring at all.
I returned to my computer and found 5 downloads sitting in the history all with the unpacking animation but none of which had successfully unpacked.  I could see no instance of any rar or par tools running.  Further more, I wasn't able to do a clean shutdown of sab as it was just ignoring my requests when i clicked shutdown.  I killed the process and then restarted to find my queue empty and history empty.
The files that were in the incomplete folder were all fine when i unrar'd them myself also.

I'm running vista and I've been running 4.4 since its release without any errors.  Quad core cpu and 2gb ram, plenty of disk space.

The only thing that had changed was I had queue'd up about 60gb+ worth of downloads on the system when normally i only have a couple of gigs, but even so that shouldn't make any difference.

Any ideas?

If it's just an occasional unrar hangup (we have no control over that program),
restarting should cause SABnzbd to pick up post-processing where it left it.

BTW, in 0.4.5 some changes were made that prevented (maybe) similar hangups in Linux.
Have you tried 0.4.5?
