Just tried again using "%dn.%ext" and it worked fine not sure why it didn't work before.
Been manually renaming them for years

You're welcome. I still suspect that the actual content might have an influence.
Keep on the lookout when it goes wrong again and then email me the evidence.

Can this be used to adjust the folder the file is saved in like this: crop everything behind the Year, put the year in parenthesis?
