Any one else noticed that newzbin has now added word image that you have to type to login? this is really gonna put a hold on newzbin in myNZB
How are you parsing searches from newzbin? You should really be using either RSS or CSV results as screen scraping is forbidden. Searching within most RSS/CSV feeds does not require authentication, only if it is a saved search.

Hi
I've just discovered the joys of snbnzbd & iphones and recently purchased myNZB from the App store.
I am having an issue getting the app to work though and was hoping someone could offer some advice.
My iphone (3G) is jail broken and running v 2.2.1 firmware (5H11 modem) and nyNZB seemed to install correctly.
I've configured snbnzdb on my laptop and have been able to down nzb files by using a newzbin reference and this seemed to work correctly.
The bit I am having problems with is getting my iphone connect to my laptop so I can download while on the move.
I have opened up port 8081 on my router to the internal IP address of my laptop and can connect to snbnzdb via my external (WAN) IP address from my laptop as follows:
http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8081
When I try via my iphone I get the following error:
"can't connect to host -1003"
I do not have a web username & password set up and have set my secondary interface to "iphone"
After the error appears I can continue and search newzbin for nzb (so that part is working ok).
What host name should I use in nyNZB to connect to my laptop (do I need anything after
http://xx.xx.xx.xx
I really wanna get this working as it looks awesome, any help appreciated

Ok, first the address would be
http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8081/sabnzbd
I suppose you meant that.
So can you connect with your Iphone Safari to this adress from the outside ?
If so, then you should have a problem with your mynzb configuration.
Setting Iphone as your second Template in SABnzbd won't change anything because
this is just for the browser - mynzb doesn't use it.
If you still want to test it type this in your MobileSafari:
http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8081/sabnzbd/m
I give you my mynzb config as an example - maybe you mixed something up:
Host: xxx.dnsalias.org
Port: 8080
Thats all you need.
You could also try to set a password in SABnzbd and then use this im mynzb if nothing
else works - I had this problem once with the "old" Newzbin.app
Keep trying, it's worth it ;-)

Host should be an IP address or hostname. No http, ports or slashes. ie (myhost.dynip.com)
Port should be whatever port you have sab setup for. (I actually forward mine through lighttpd and everything works beautimus)
Username, pretty obvious. I hadn't tried not using one so your on your own there.
Password, self expanitory.
Hope that helps. I have mine as my dynodns hostname so I can check status where ever I'm at. BTW the iphone templates sucks because the way the login works, iPhone doesn't remember them and it's a pain to re-enter that info in every time you wanna check that status. That's what I like about myNZB, I can hit the button and see what's happening and even add stuff from newzbin. That's a pain in the ass to do from Safari on an iPhone.

I'm glad the solution was so simple.

Gonna have a mess about now and see what else I can do, what would be nice is a wake on LAN feature so I can wake up my laptop via nyNZB\SABnzbd from the train.
There is an iphone app called "iWOL" that does exactly that. Just make sure your laptop is connected to the router with an ethernet cable since wake-on-lan does not work over wifi ;-)

Bought a copy from the appstore last night. Just wish I could search more of newzbin. The limited search sort of bites. I can find things from newzbin's site, but when I try it on the phone nothing is found. Otherwise, this is a great app.

Is this application useful for those who aren't lucky enough to have a newzbin account?
I'm yet to get my sabnzbd viewable externally but I'm working on it!

Would be great if this app could use Apache proxied nzb services too.
My service runs behind a https:// apache proxy
