Looks great as-is, but I think it might look a bit better if you used a higher-contrast color for the text (brighter white on black, darker black on grey), at least for the text of the NZB name.
Also, you don't need the # dropdown anymore. We got drag & drop sort working over the weekend.

Man i am amazed this looks so beautifull, the only thing i would adjust is the yellow one with orange fonts into yellow with yellow fonts. But man they look great, i have no words for it.

Looking sweet injectx! I do have a few concerns: (see screenshot)
1) Is that how the Queue should look when there is nothing in it?
Yes.. doesn't look too bad imo..
2) Is there any difference between "Pause" and "Paused"? Or just the wording? It seems like if you are paused, you really want it to stand out, in case someone accidentally hit the button.
Yeah, I was still creating something for the pause button.. that it would be 'lit' or something. Or greyed when PAUSE and yellow when PAUSED
3) I agree with nzb_leecher that maybe yellow/yellow for the default theme would maybe be nicer than orange/yellow.
I agree with u.
4) With what inpheaux said "no need for # menus" -- those actually might stay... there are times where drag & drop sort is nice, and then times when a menu is nice. Did you want to style the menus? They can have different colors for text/background.
Didn't new that, using version 0.3.0 btw. Background of the +D/+R/ etc. options could be black if possible, would be nice.
5) I think the data is hard to read in certain places (I put a purple box around them) -- should be a higher contrast. Imagine if you were sitting on your couch eight feet away, that's how readable it should be.
Could work on that, eventually grey could be replaced by white or yellow.
6) So the standard/alternate rows are even/odd? Is that long queue how you envisioned it looking?
Yeah it was better noticable on the shot you posted, didn't saw it at first look. Think I'll use different gradients on that.. or maybe default and alternate same gradients (could look nice too maybe)
7) If you look at your queues (before I edited them), the borders on the side extend past the top of the Queue into the rows with a gradient. This is tough to do, but is do-able if you definitely want to go that route. Consider this in conjunction with #1 above though... if the top/bottom of the Queue matched up, then this wouldn't be an issue.
Thought this would be difficult yes.. Well eventually I could use a solid color instead of a gradient (if it's really not possible). Queue looks good that way I think
Other than that...... I like the "PLUSH" logo, the background image for the full page looks sweet too.
thanks!
I really like all the themes -- is it okay if we focus on the "default" at first, then once it's all good we can add the other color schemes?
sure
Any word on the Queue Verbosity? History? Main menu/options/+NZB?
Okay now I am just getting greedy.
Aye sir! shouldn't be to much work... erm.. options screen is something I really like the way it is for now, don't think this is much of an issue. Could eventually be changed when everything else about the template works the way we want
And thanks everyone else for your comments
Next thing to do: Post a concept version of the whole Sabnzbd screen (queue, history, Nzb+ etc.) with fixes from comments, already working on that.

I really like your lighter look a lot too though....
Funny i prefer the darker one, the light one is ok, but the dark one knocks me of my chair
it looks so future like. Maybe we could choose between them in a the future. But for now i dont mind wich one you both choose light or dark

Things I have been considering....
In regards to the layout of the overall page (so the main menus, queue and history) it has always bothered me to have the whole layout switcher option, because it just seemed to get in the way and got around the point of just having something better. Now seeing what you have pictured, it seems like it would make enough sense just to force a side by side, 50/50 queue/history layout -- meaning that the page will need to be a little wide. The queue and history should have scrollbars within each of them, so with an exceptionally long list of nzbs the rest of the layout stays put (more application like in a way?). We can set a minimum width for the queue and the history to be whatever you need.
The only issue I think that you'd get by having the queue and history side by side is information overload. There's no real need to always show the history. It's the history, most people know what they've already downloaded. Since you're using jQuery as is, you can simply have that div hidden by default and instead have a little side-link that would allow the history section to expand outward as needed.
What most people really care about is, what they're currently downloading and how soon will it be done. Since that's what most everyone wants, just give them the information in the easiest possible manner.
As a front-end dev the mock-up's aren't bad, but what would the font that's used for all the downloaded items be in a web-safe font? I don't know exactly what font that is, but it can't stay like it is because it's not web-safe and has anti-aliasing in it.

@pair of dimes: I like the suggestions you made in the picture, the scrollbar on the right side is a good addition; the overall layout doesn't get messed up this way. On the other hand.. I dislike the history on the right side... like scud said, there could be a button that expands the history if you would like to view it. I'm creating a lighter template, using the dark one as base right now. Shouldn't take to long...
@nzb_leecher: sorry forgot to put them in... I'm using an older version of Sabnzbd without the 'x' button right now. Will put it in after another concept update.
@scud: Font used is Arial 12pt. ,anti aliasing is default in IE7, MacosX and if cleartype is enabled in Win. XP, viewable with any browser. Not sure but I think even Ubuntu from version 6.xx and higher has anti aliasing set to default in gui and browser. In either way.. font can always be changed, as this is not a big problem I think.
P.s. : Maybe someone could change the topic title to: Theme: SabNZBd plush V2 (concept) or something like that.. because Aqua is not the main working template anymore. Thanks.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont delete the history. After putting 20 nzb files in the queue, i want to look once in a while what happended there. Was it repaired, did it broke, etc.
True queue is important but i use history also a lot, mostly becuase of my short term memory
If the history gets deleted or only viewable when clicking on it. Then its byebye Plush for me. I hate to switch pages just to look up something like what happened with dload X
Information overload becuase of qeueu and history shown together
?? Its not that much info
Also people with 16:10 monitors have more then enough room to show them side by side.

I think the scrollbars in both queue and history would be a good addition. Default 5 items in queue and history (maybe this can be manually adjusted later on?). I like to view the history too, cause mostly I put a lot of NZB's into the black hole before I go to sleep and want to see what happened in the morning. Don't worry, deleting the history is absolutely not an option

Scrollbars in the queue aren't a great idea, since we now have drag & drop sorting. It ends up being really counter-intuitive to drag things to a hidden drop-point. Scrollbars in the History could be done with minimal ill effects, though.

Combined the lighter version I posted earlier with the new black one.
Also made a concept options menu.
Don't know but maybe we could set a poll and then decide which one to create first.
I don't think it will be much of a problem to create the black/white one after one is created.
I hope it can get developed right, I think it's a pretty hard job though
Again, comments!

The combination between light and dark has worked out very well, very good looking it is.
Can we beta test it
Do you use sab31? It looks you have other things shown then i see here on my sab31. That makes it difficult to make remarks.

No cannot be beta tested, these are just images. I'll need pair of dimes to convert it into a template.
Don't have that much coding skills myself.
I use Sab 0.3.0 at the moment, not updated yet, could be slight differences between the versions.

Hi i always like the some principle coming back everywhere on the page.
Upwards the options menu for example has a ligt to dark look on the menu and buttons.
The queue thing has diagonal stipes as background i think it looks better if you leave away the strips, so the layout is the same everywhere.
