Dear shypike,

Is this scheduler related to the scheduler that can be set in Config - Scheduling? I have set there eight schedules that set, spread out over the day, the speed limit to 0 and the download to resume. I did this because I used to forget to resume the download sometimes after I paused it.

Could it be that I reached the maximum limit for active schedules? I checked the timing but the timing of these eight schedules did not coincide with the 10 minutes resume schedules.

Regards,
Erik

The same scheduler is used for user events and internal events.
There's no limit and so far I never caught the scheduler doing anything wrong.

I'll let you know when I have the work-around built in.

Dear shypike,

It appears that 053 RC1 has solved the issue. I have removed the disable and enable events for the server and still the connections stay at the number as defined in the configuration.

Thanks,
Erik

How many did you enter in Config->Servers and how many does easynews allow?

According to their home page they allowed unlimited connections.

Though I highly doubt it.

Just set it to something like 10.
Usually that's enough. Increase lightly if you think the speed is too low.
In fact, decrease until the speed start dropping (and then go a bit up).
The optimum is different for each server and might even depend
on the time of day.

One other option is to disable "Disconnect on Empty Queue" in Config->Switches.
Disabling will let SABnzbd keep the connections open until they
are dropped by the server itself.
Some servers are very bad at detecting disconnects from the client side.
Astraweb has this problem and maybe easynews as well.
