Like I said before, the ssl chain is fully determined by third-party modules.
You're one of the very few people to report this.
In release 0.7.0 we'll refresh most modules, including the Python version.

Also, I updated my OpenSSL libraries yesterday afternoon and it has been up since then without issue.

Which version do you use and where did you get them from?
We get ours from the PyOpenSSL binary distribution.
