WHS, HP Mediasmart system. I have it in a subfolder to sabnzbd on C, I'll move it to D.
I'm usually accessing it using the WHS console, using the addin that lets you minimize the WHS software. It's in the Startup-folder as a link - I can't figure out a better way to auto-launch it.
Easy way: Windows Task Scheduler (bring up the run box by pressing WindowsKey and R at the same time, then type taskschd.msc and press enter). Click create a task and put in the exe location and when you want it to run (on boot, so you don't even have to log in for your automated downloading apps to get started).
Make a scheduled task for sabnzbd and any associated programs (sabsync,couchpotato,additional guis,utorrent,etc) that you want to always have running. After doing this remove the now redundant links in the startup folder.
Running as admin should have the advantage of not getting inaccessible directories, and running all the time prevents you from "underutilizing" your bandwidth for days because you forgot to log onto the WHS after a reboot. HTH
There is also a way to run any app as a service on WHS and it can be found using google, but I don't see any advantage to that for these kind of programs and it's a bit more complicated to set up.

I have my WHS box logging in on startup and then it starts SABnzbd and SABSync.
Followed this guide to enable auto-login:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324737
I also disabled that annoying Short-cut to the webpage "warning" me that I was RDPing to the server. Plenty of options to run SABSync and SABnzbd on start-up.

That appears to be an issue with SABnzbd, not SABSync, possibly your user information for Newzbin is not correct?

It's a problem with the link that Newzbin is providing in the RSS feed. The issue is actually caused by a couple of things, one being that the link doesn't contain "nzb/" to actually get the NZB, but even with that added (in my testing) the NZB cannot be downloaded without logging in, which is what seems to be stopping SABnzbd from downloading the NZB (SABSync sends the link to SABnzbd, albeit not the right link, due to what Newzbin is providing). It looks like SABnzbd handles a RSS feed from Newzbin differently (likely using the ID) instead of the link.
Unfortunately at this time SABSync won't be able to support Newzbin, mostly due to how Newzbin provides their RSS feed, but I will look into supporting Newzbin again by way of Adding by ID to SABnzbd.

My SABsync is running smooth now - no issues, I have some backfill to do from the week in which it was bugging on me, but I fix it one show at a time as I find it.

I just uploaded 0.9.9.7 which is a quick release to fix a bug that was introduced with TheTVDB's new caching mechanism (nginx was not properly handling a request for all series information that didn't end in a '/').

Enjoy.

I think the issue is with the config file (SQLite can be such a pain sometimes).
The config file currently contains this block:
Code: Select all
<system.data>
<DbProviderFactories>
<remove invariant="System.Data.SQLite" />
<add name="SQLite Data Provider" invariant="System.Data.SQLite"
description=".Net Framework Data Provider for SQLite"
type="System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteFactory, System.Data.SQLite" />
</DbProviderFactories>
</system.data>
but that block should be commented out to look like this:
Code: Select all
<!--<system.data>
<DbProviderFactories>
<remove invariant="System.Data.SQLite" />
<add name="SQLite Data Provider" invariant="System.Data.SQLite"
description=".Net Framework Data Provider for SQLite"
type="System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteFactory, System.Data.SQLite" />
</DbProviderFactories>
</system.data>-->
Which was working in 0.9.9.6, I'm not sure how this slipped in... If you can confirm that it works with the configuration change I will upload a new version of 0.9.9.7 with the proper configuration.
Here is a pastebin link with the complete configuration file if it's easier to copy+paste the entire file.

It only contains application specific configuration now, the rest is stored in the %appdata% folder, but that config file shouldn't change very often (and in thins case it was by error).

Figured
I had an issue before the update where the scan would hang on one easily recognizable show for ages and never recognize the show. Eventually it fixed itself, but I'd tried to add it at least 3 times - was that what you fixed?
