Hello, trying to write an Trayapp with api calls so amazing u cant believe ur eyes :)
Its going to be a Remote Watched Folder Trayapp. With Queue options!

little bit about my app:
-Trayapp
-remote blackhole function or local if u have sab running locally
-multiple dir scan
-recursivly
-all the queue options the webbrowser has

To realize this I need a lot more then the current api from 0.4.12 has to offer, atleast for the Queue options part. The sending of nzb files works allrdy in the old api.

The reason im writing this program is mainly because I have 1 server in my home enviroment and multiple clients that want to download.
The hidious task of drag and dropping nzb files to an app is so 2008. And sabnzbd has the best option ever "Watched Folder". But that requires a shared network folder for all the clients and ofc setting up their browser to download into that network share (I probly going to make some default profiles for the usual browser default download folder in my program).
This trayapp however wil scan the directories u provide and if there is an nzb file found in that folder it wil upload it through the api.
At the moment it only supports 1 directory and a little bit queue status. But ran into some problems when I wanted to switch 2 items in the queue (Mainly because the old api from 0.4.12 doesnt have that command lol :p)
My program is very very alpha atm but atleast it works so far. In 0.5 releases there are so many api command I want to integrate into my app but sadly cant cause im not a beta tester yet :(

If u guys could make me a beta tester I can finalize my app with all the new spicy api commands.

Thx in advance,
AciDCooL

I'd love to help out here - 0.5 has at least 1 feature I'm really looking for.

Hi there,

I have a very annoying memory problem that's been bugging me for two versions now, after a download completes the ram usage stays unexplainably high. The pc becomes sluggish and unstable with a small chance to reset after a while, if the computer feels like it (windows vista and 7 x64).
I'm currently using 0.4.12 and the version before that was 0.4.9 if I remember correctly.

Anyways.. Somebody in the IRC channel told me to sign up as a release tester and see if the problem was gone in 0.5, so here I am :)

Edit:

0.5.0Alpha6 does not solve the problem  ???

I would like to added to the list of beta testers.  I'm running SAB on a dedicated server machine running Ubuntu as well as a MacBook Pro.  I would really like to test the new features including HTTPS.  I have a Newsbin account and use SAB constantly.

Thanks!

I'd also like to be a beta tester...

I've been running SABnzbd for about a year I'd say but now I'm running it on a Windows Server 2008 R2 box with RAID-6 (7 TB using Dell Perc 6/i card).

It's pretty running GREAT and I really look forward to using/testing the new version(s)!

Hi,
I would like to help you to beta test .5, and i would really like so.. since my .4.12 is acting up and making it impossible for me to download..  (http://forums.sabnzbd.org/http://forums ... 785#p19785)
i got told in the IRC channel that .5 might resolve my issue (IPV6 related) so thats why i apply, and of course if i find any errors i will report them :)

if needed i could test on windows XP 32, SP3 // Windows 7 professional X64 // ubuntu (soon to be) 9.10 x64. and if reaaalllyyy needed also got a 32 bit (soon to be) 9.10 ubuntu server.
so that should be enough platforms to test on. and im really motivated to test IPV6 lol.

Thanks in advance.

(edit. win 7 isnt business its professional)

I'd also like to sign up for little testing. I dont have ALOT of free time but when i do i enjoy playing and tinkering with this stuff. I'm running 3xMac Leopard and 1xWindows XP. ( as soon as 10.6.2 drops i'll upgrade at least one machine to Snow Leopard )

Thanks !
