Command, ask somebody you trust or go to Apple's website or a genius bar.
There is NO WAY that two elements within the same folder have the same name.
With your test procedure the Finder add " - copie" (French for copy I did not open an English session again) at the end of the file name.

That’s because you created the alias in the directory instead of dragging it out and changing it I am sure. As I said, I have no indications of file corruption and I repeated the same test on three separate Mac all with the same results.

Doesn't matter...as I said, I was able to successfully create a symlink which was not duplicated by SAB using the procedure I wrote about in the last post.

So...alls well that ends well.

You CAN set fixed paths such as /Volumes/nameofdrive/Downloads - however the path must be accessible to SABnzbd when it is launched otherwise it will be reset to the default path
