@blitzkrieg263:
The downloads from binsearch.info using the browser are corrupt, because the browser doesn't handle gzipped files correctly. I released a free app to this purpose called BinsearchDroid. Check the blog for more info on this.
@roybj:
This happens in sabnzbd, I have no control over it. It also happens from the regular web interface. It might be a similar problem to my previous answer (gzipped files)
@bdavies:
Can you please send me an email with some more information?
@adamjseed:
Is your subfolder really called "sabdnzbd"? It actually should be "sabnzbd", so no "d" after "sab".
Cheers,
Ludo

I am also having trouble with the paid version using binsearchdroid. I was able to get a direct download from binsearch with the one download per day version. Then I bought the plus version and I cannot get any downloads from binsearch.
Are you seeing the same problem ludo? BTW, I'm using Moto Droid.

@ontrose: I sent you an email and I'm waiting for your feedback
@caykroyd: I tested it again on Android 2.0.1 and 2.1 and it works fine. But these are emulators, sometimes they behave differently than real devices as for the font size bug. Can you describe me what happens exactly? Can you send me some log ouput?
Thanks.
Ludo

ludo,
Think I solved the problem. Looks like you need to install sabcontolplus before installing binsearch droid. So if anyone else is having problems, uninstall both programs, then reinstall sabcontrolplus first.

Great news, thanks for your feedback caykroyd. Still, it's weird...
And FYI, we sorted out both problems of adamjseed and ontrose (with the last update).
Have a nice week-end people.

Hi Ludo,
I'm trying to setup SABcontrol on my Droid and I dont understand what to put for my server host settings. I constantly get the server not running or unreachable msg on my screen. I'm wanting to understand how to make this work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi KevO,
please send me an email so that we can discuss this off the forum.
As a starter: which version of SABnzbd are you using? 0.4.12 or 0.5.0? If 0.4.x you need to tick the Old API compatibility checkbox, otherwise it won't work (if so I however recommend to use version 0.5.0 since it has more features available for SABcontrol).
Are you sure your router is routing the port correctly to your server? Can you access your server from the browser?
Ludo

Hi Ludo,
Firstly thanks for a great app, i am getting a few different errors, ranging from 'waiting for downloads..', when there is nothing in the queue to 'server not responding'. i know the server is accesible from the net as i am on it from the phones browser.
Cheers

When you access it from other phones you put in the entire address like:
http://TheAddressOfMyServerRunningSabnzbd:PORT/sabnzbd
lets say PORT is 1609
In SABcontrol in the first field you need to input:
TheAddressOfMyServerRunningSabnzbd
in the next field you type the port where mine was
1609
so no need to type /sabnzbd anywhere

I'm having no luck setting this up I'm afraid. I'm new to droid and pretty crap with Linux too, so please be gentle
I'm runng SABnzbdplus 0.5.2 and SABcontrol 1.4 on a HTC Desire with droid v2.
I constantly get the message "Server not running or unreachable"
Having read this thread, here are my settings..
SABnzbdplus -
SABnzbd Host: 0.0.0.0 Host SABnzbd should listen on.
SABnzbd Port: 8080 Port SABnzbd should listen on.
API Key: blahblahblah
SABcontrol -
Server Host: No idea what to put here (tried my internal ip, external ip, all sorts of other stuff)
Server Port: 8080
SSL enabled
API: blahblahblah
Can anyone help here?

Hi scifiguy,
you should not enable SSL if it is not enabled in SABnzbd+. And if it is, then it's probably on a different port than 8080. Also try if you can connect from the android browser. If yes, then it's a configuration problem in SABcontrol. Also check that you have no special characters like @, ?, # in your password, I found out that it causes troubles.
If you still are not able to connect, please send me a mail with log output (either using adb logcat or the app aLogCat).
Thanks

Hello,
I've been using SABControl for a month or so now, and it's been great. Until last night, when it quit being able to find my server. I double checked to make sure I had the correct server and port address, the user name and password are both fine, and the api key is the same, but it just can't seem to find the server. I'm running it on a Moto Droid, I'd really love to get it working again. Having to use the web interface from the browser(which I can still do) is not nearly as satisfying. Please help.
Thank you,
rkw2
