Shypike,

I was not trying to be sarcastic or whatever else.... just "funny"... I understand you must be overwhelmed sometimes. Basically I am not sure how to proceed.

You see the last job failed with an empty NZB file.

So what I did is:

-Go to the SAB log and retrieve the URL for the job that failed. I've found it where it said:

Code: Select all

2011-07-16 14:49:48,972::INFO::[__init__:437] Fetching http://nzbxxx.com/nzb-details.php?id=XXXXXX&hit=1
Then I copied/pasted this link in my browser. I ended up on the nzbxxx page saying that I need to log in to access this page. Normal because NZBmatrix and NZBxxx requires login. Could it be the problem? I hope not because that would defeat the purpose of EVERYTHING!

Then after login, the URL above brings me to the page where I can retrieve the NZB file. Doing so and adding it manually to SAB will work but adding the NZB using the URL fetch function will NOT work (» URL Fetching failed; Unusable NZB file)

So can I blame NZBmatrix and NZBXXX?

Eh, we don't support nzbxxx.com in the same way that we support nzbmatrix itself.
As you can see, there is no userid and apikey in the URL.
For nzbmatrix.com, SABnzbd adds these items when they have been entered in Config->Indexers.
Does your RSS-url contain the userid and apikey? If so then the links in the feed should contain them too.

I wasn't aware that nzbxxx.com belongs to nzbmatrix.com.
I'm not really into xxx ;)

Hahaha I hope I did not cross a line there! ;)

Yes NZBxxx "belongs" to NZBMatrix... Same credentials to login, and they refer to eachothers.

Now for the other topics, there is no userID or API keys in the links... At least from NZBXXX. Does it mean that it wont work with SAB? If so then whats the purpose of their RSS feeds?

The simplest solution might be to treat nzbxxx.com internally the same as nzbmatrix.com.
That would be for the next release.
Maybe there's a work-around, give me some time to look into this.

As I've learned from this experience, its most likely a personal issue, not a SABNZB, or NZBMatrix issue. Their systems are working ok, as is SAB. But by all means, explore.

So what did your experience showed you? When you say that it's most likely a personal issue I suppose you are talking about personal experience ? What did you do to fix it up?

For me, I worked through the issues. I posted on each board to see if others were having the issue. For me, restarting SABNZB and reverting SABNZB to a previous version did not correct the problem. No one else on the NZBmatrix was having the issue. I tried the steps mentioned on the forum, which said to copy the API URL to browser and manually attempting to download it. Since that worked, it still seemed to be a SABNZB issue. By pure coincidence, my computer restarted due to Windows Updates, so I am guessing there was an issue with the temp folder for the NZB files.

Not for this specific issue.
But a lot of other problems were fixed.
Besides, I only test with the latest version.

OK I may have figured this one out....

believe it or not, It was MY fault... for the NZBXXX rss problems at least. Nowhere they mention that NZBXXX uses a different API key than NZBMatrix so I just assumed it was the same. Plus, at first I was using the wrong RSS address, I was using the address to the properties page of the NZB file. Now I changed the RSS address and use the correct API key and all is fine!

Until I see otherwise, all is fixed now!

You said nzbxxx.com accepts nzbmatrix accounts.
It doesn't for my two accounts.
Not that it matters, but it does mean that I cannot treat nzbxxx.com as if it was nzbmatrix.com
And I'm not going to add explicit support in Config->Indexers.

Afaik I did not have to open an account I just entered my username and password and it worked. They however have different API keys.

No I don't encourage to add it in the indexers ...

until I experience problems with the tv shows ( that's what initiated this thread at first but I thought the issues with nzbxxx were the same) I consider this case closed.

Thanks!

ehhh.... Im back withthe same problems again.

In SickBeard I manually initiated the search for 5 episodes of a show and SB said" Snatched HDTV" But in SAB I see 5 failed tasks.

SAB takes a very long time to "fail" the job, it stays in the queue for several minutes with the message:
And then it fails and says:
https://nzbmatrix.com/api-nzb-download. ... cenename=1 » URL Fetching failed; (), Try again
Of course going to Nzbmatrix and manually retrieving the NZB file will work.

There are often problems with the nzbmatrix api.
