It worked immediately. I have no idea why port 5554 gave me the errors I was getting (previous post)... Any thoughts?
5554 might have been bound to another service on your machine, the important part is that it is working now right? :)

For those that are rooted, I have found that seeting up a VPN is the best way to get VLC streaming to your phone over 3g/4g. I followed this tutorial for windows: http://www.runpcrun.com/howtoopenvpn with a few changes:

For Windows 7 grab the openVPN distro from here: http://openvpn.net/release/openvpn-2.1_rc22.zip otherwise

Follow the steps in the tutorial

When building the client key substitute the following command
C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\easy-rsa> build-key fred

with
C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\easy-rsa> build-key-pkcs12 fred

Download the openvpn installer and openvpn settings apps from the market (both free).

Run openvpn installer to get the tun.ko binary on your phone.

Copy your acme.ovpn, your ca.crt, and all the Fred (whatever you call your client certs) files to your phone in sdcard/openvpn

Provided you have the right server address and port listed in your client.ovpn file all you need to do is click on your ovpn file in the openvpn settings app and you're golden!

I'm also using Sab Sheep and it's awesome.

I only have some problems with the categories.
When i select a TV HD spot it's not getting "tagged" as TV in SABnzbd, i tried several options in SABnzbd with Groups / Indexer tags but for some reason it just won't fit.
I also checked and added nzbmatrix.txt in SABnzbd dir but still not working, is Sab Sheep doing a conversion or something ?

What i would like to see is when i add a TV > HD release to SAbnzbd from Sab Sheep it really get's added to TV HD instead of default but it doesn't.

Any tips?

OK not exactly sure what changed but I'm now getting "failed to add post to queue". I've double checked all my API KEYS and they are correct. If I go to status it pulls up my history from my SAb server just fine. I just can't figure out what changed to not allow me to "send to sabnzb". any thoughts?

I ran into a really annoying issue that I can't seem to fix.

I just bought Sab Sheep, and when I try to "Send to sab", it doesn't seem to be sending my account info (User + API Key) along with the URL.

For example, when I "Send to Sab," it says it happens successfully, but Sabnzbd says failed with the following error...

Code: Select all

https://api.nzbmatrix.com/v1.1/ download.php?id=********&username=&apikey= - ยป URL Fetching failed; (Problem accessing nzbmatrix server (error:invalid_login)), Try again

The username and apikey variables are blank in the url that was sent to sabnzbd. I have filled these out correctly in Sab Sheep, but it seems there is a bug in it sending those fields in the URL.

Anyone know how to fix this?

You should enter the nzbmatrix userid and apikey into SABnzbd's Config->Indexers page.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I am getting the exact same problem. I have posted in the reviews section also.

There is no address to contact the developers either :(

Does this work with nzb.org, and finding it hard to find a Android app that supports it

It seems that when sending NZBs to SAB, it automatically appends /sabnzbd to the SAB URL I listed in the settings, but for the status it does not append /sabnzbd.

I can't seem to get both status and sending NZBs to work at the same time using one url.

If I use "http://hostname/" for the SABNzbd url, I can submit NZBs, but not see status. If I just "http://hostname/sabnzbd/" as my URL it doesn't let me add NZBSs, but I can see status.

For example, my URL is set to "https://hostname/sabnzbd/" in settings. I can see the status of SAB, as it's querying correctly:

1.1.1.1 - - [14/Nov/2011:11:08:08 -0500] "GET /sabnzbd//api?mode=queue&output=xml&apikey=43243482342039849302342 HTTP/1.1" 200 2288 "-" "Dalvik/1.4.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; DROID BIONIC Build/5.5.1_84_DBN-55)"

However, if I try to submit a NZB, it fails:

1.1.1.1 - - [14/Nov/2011:11:10:24 -0500] "GET /sabnzbd//sabnzbd/api?apikey=4424234242432423442&mode=addurl&name=http%3A%2F%2Fnzbmatrix.com%2Fnzb-download.php%3Fid%3D1095820%26name%3D%26nozip%3D1&cat=Movies HTTP/1.1" 401 1369 "-" "-"

Notice that it appended an extra /sabnzbd to the query.

If I use "https://hostname/" as the URL in settings, NZBs get added properly, but the status won't work.

Any ideas?

Hi all,

have a (probably) noobish question...

when i try to connect to sabnzbd via my android phone on my local network - nothing happens. it does say that it couldn't connect to 127.0.....but i have already entered the specific pc IP and the API key. In my sabnzbd conf, the sabnzbd adress is set to localhost. i would prefer not go via www, but only via the local network.
what am i doing wrong?
using windows 7...

thx in advance! :-)

This is a whole bucket of awesome sauce! You got my sale.

I've not played with the VLC integration yet. For those having trouble connecting to say nzb make sure that your host is 0.0.0.0 in the configuration. If it's 128.0.0.1 or localhost it will only be accessible in the machine its installed on. I made that mistake myself.
