0.5.1 Final?  I have this problem with 0.5.1 RC2, but don't see the final anywhere...  Is it really out somewhere?

After experimenting with this for a few days, I've finally cut the switch and moved over from hellavcr.

One question:  what exactly does the "pre-snatched" status mean?

It means that it's snatched the SD version but is still waiting to find an HD version. It happens when you have a show with "Best" quality. The status should probably be renamed, it's from back when "Best" was called "Predownloaded".

Glad to hear you like Sick Beard - I developed it in the first place because I was tired of trying to hack new features into hellavcr ;-P

I don't keep all episodes of all series just some but would still like to know that i have seen it if you understand, maby this is to messy?

Well I let it all process last night and from what I see I think I am entirely in love.
It has yet to FIND anything yet though, so we'll see. I actually deleted some recent episode files out of a specific series to see SB "catch" those missing files and in turn search for them and it did obviously see them as missing, but it hasn't successfully searched and found them yet, which has me a bit confused. I don't get the difference between "skipped", "missed" etc.

One request would be to allow different qualities depending on the show.
There are certain shows that I prefer the HD version over an SD, but often (for kids shows) SD is just fine and saves some space on the server. Would you consider adding a manual trigger to each show that over-rode the master quality setting?

Other than that, as previously stated, I am in love. Thanks so much for what appears to be an incredibly well thought, well designed, implemented and supported product.
Bravo.

Skipped and missed are very diffrent it an episode is skipped it wont search for it, onley unaired and missed ep will be searched for each time.
And if you dl an ep and then delete it it will be flagged as skipped.

Just click on the show you want as a diffrent quality and click edit and select what you want. I guess the general setting is just to make it abit smoother to add a new show since ofthen you want the same quality, and if you dont you can just change

Ok thanks for the clarification on the skipped/missed.
I did figure out the HD/SD for individual stuff shortly after I posted. Still thanks :)

REALLY loving this program. This is the kind of integration I have been looking for. ESPECIALLY the XBMC integration.
Heading off to play with SB some more!

Same problem here, also on RC2.

Edit: I went to to 0.5.0 Final and the problem went away

Here is my problem.  Whenever I click search, and it snatches the NZB from matrix, it only grabs a 1KB nzb and when processed through newsleecher, does absolutely nothing.  Do I have a setting wrong somewhere?  The very first NZb it snatched was perfect, the 4 I have tried after, have all been nothing but 1kb files that do not work.  I have used different NZB providers for each and all are the same.
Thanks!

Open up the downloaded 1k nzb in textpad and see whether you actually got a nzb or an error message.  I had the same issue and for some inexplicable reason the downloaded nzb was an error message, I am not sure why Sickbeard has an error occasionally downloading from nzbmatrix though.

I tried to open it in wordpad and notepad and it says invalid NZB ID.  According to this thread it looks like a problem with the site.  http://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=3390.30  The only other problem is if SB starts snatching a bunch of NZBs, it would be hard to tell which ones worked and which did't.  Anyone know of a fix for this?  Thanks!

RE: Renaming episodes

So say I dload a release: Show.Name.S03E01.DVDRip.XviD-MEDiEVAL and this is the "Name" in the SAB Queue

When post processing, SAB nor SB will name it how I really want it during the post processing:
videos/TV Shows/Series/Season #/S03E01 - Episode Name.avi
I only get:
videos/TV Shows/Series/Season #/S03E01.avi

I assume this is because Episode Name is not in the "Name" when downloading. This was always taken care of with Newzbin, as the Newzbin post had the name of the episode in the posting, and subsequently it was applied during the post processing.

Is there ANY way to get SB to rename the file using it's database? Meaning that the episode name is in the DB already (from the automated search), so can that episode name be applied to the final final name with out going into the SB interface and forcing a rename on these files?

Edit:

FYI I do get this msg in the SAB history when using the SB prost processing:

Show.Name.S02E03.DVDRip.XviD-MEDiEVAL

Loading config from C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\SickBeard\autoProcessTV\autoProcessTV.cfg
Traceback (most recent call last):
 File "sabToSickBeard.py", line 30, in
File "autoProcessTV.pyc", line 52, in processEpisode
File "ConfigParser.pyc", line 531, in get
ConfigParser.NoSectionError: No section: 'SickBeard'

I assume this is because there is no "section" from newzbin passed to it (as it was an nzb from nzbs.org)

Sick Beard will name episodes like that, yes, if you have the naming set up that way in Config -> General. The reason it's not doing it now is because your post-processing is crashing as per the error in your SAB history. The "No Section 'SickBeard'" error is because you don't have an autoProcessTV.cfg file (or it's corrupt/empty).

About NZBMatrix I have been getting a lot of questions about it, I think it is a problem with the site but I haven't had a chance to look into it yet.

I would recommend watching your history, and further using the blackhole method to sending nzb's to Sabnzbd.  Further also make nzbs.org your primary search provider followed by nzbmatrix etc to better improve your odds of snatching the latest & appropriate nzbs.

nzbmatrix made some changes to address the problem - see here: http://nzbmatrix.com/forums.php?action= ... 770&page=1

It's working for me now.
